NLBRA Senior boys ages 14-19, compete throughout the year to obtain points in heading, heeling, tie down calf roping and steer wrestling during the regular season, as well as points accrued at the NLBRA finals. These races are always close, and after tough seasons of competition, the NLBRA constituents are selected through a board review process and recommended by the committee and approved by the full board. These young men are chosen on the merits of points accrued in their events, their finals participation, level of competition and location during the season. The goal is to select well round cowboys who also have personal characteristics, attitude and ethics that represented the type of youth that NLBRA expects with good sportsmanship. These young cowboys and more chosen via a selection process through the Lazy E, have their chance at glory and compete at each annual Jr. Ironman Championship, a building ground for young guns who aspire to one day compete at the Timed Event Championships.
