Ranching Heritage Bred Horse form


Award Information

The American Quarter Horse Association Ranching Heritage Breeder program spotlights the

quality horses produced by AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeders. Ranching Heritage bred horses

compete in a variety of competitions and disciplines.

The AQHA Top RHB Award recognizes horses at numerous events across the

country, including the National Little Britches Rodeo Association Finals. The owner of the

overall highest placing Ranching Heritage bred horse that accrues the most points in the Short Go receives $250 and a specially created

ranch-horse trophy, and the Ranching Heritage Breeder also receives $250.

Award Guidelines:

• NLBRA members, nominate your AQHA horse on the attached form.

• The award can only be presented to a registered American Quarter Horse bred by an AQHA

Ranching Heritage Breeder

• The horse must be in the current owner’s name

• AQHA membership is not required though encouraged

• Horse’s registered name and registration number must be submitted by

owner/exhibitor/contestant at time of entry

• Winner will be profiled on aqha.com/ranching
