NLBRA MOURNS LOSS OF
WAYDE HAMAR

6/29/09 -- Colorado Springs, Colorado

The National Little Britches Rodeo Association (NLBRA) is deeply saddened to report the tragic and untimely death of a member. On Sunday, June 28th, 12-year old Wayde Hamar, was fatally injured in a bull riding accident at a NLBRA Rodeo in Longmont, Colorado, at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. Emergency personnel were on-site and immediately treated and transported Wayde to a local hospital where he later died.

“The Little Britches Family wishes to send our thoughts and prayers to Wayde’s family during this difficult time,” stated Kimber Solberg, NLBRA Executive Director. “Our thanks goes to everyone who worked to assist Wayde after his accident and those who are supporting his family at this difficult time. The Little Britches Rodeo family, as well as the rest of the rodeo world, grieves with the loss of Wayde.”

The NLBRA takes the safety of the contestants at our events very seriously and the bull riding event requires safety vests, mouth guards and the option for a bull riding helmet, which Wayde was wearing. Additionally, emergency personnel are on site at all events.

Information on services for Wayde will be announced as soon as they become available.

 SILLY SURVEY QUESTION!! Minimize
If massage therapy was available on the Colorado State Fair Grounds during Finals week, at a cost of $40 per hour...would you splurge and get one for yourself or someone you know?

Do you think that Ty Murray should have won "Dancing With the Stars?"
